After years or even decades of repetative training and conditioning we fine tune our bodies to perform at an elite level as its second nature. Getting to a place where the body just knows how to go through the motions and show up.

After spending so much time on the physical aspects of the sport how do we then get to the next level of our performance?

Mental mindset and emotional balance is what comes up first for me.

When we start to fine tune our thoughts and emotions we can better realieve the stressers and pressures that are required as such an elite athlete.

Just because we are labeled as a performer or athlete does not mean we dont deal or experience all of the normal day stress and pressure that normal day life can present and this can impact our performance.

Whether working through injuries and recovery, stress from relationships, finances or having the emotional capacity to keep showing up at our best, its important and crucial for us to continue working on our inner balance and harmony.

The more we can feel balanced and at peace with normal life outside of the game the better we can show up when in the zone.

Thats the thing, being in the zone, being in the state of flow when everything else dissolve and its us doing what we have been working towards and doing what we love, our performance is a reflection of our internal state.
